Hello all... while searching through the web I was amazed to find out
that the only web page for the Newlydeads is the one that Taime maintains
himself. While this is all well and good and it's a fantastic site...
this band deserves way more!! I know right now the page is nothing big or
spectacular but hell, gimme a break, all pages must start somewhere. If
you think it sucks.... BITE ME.... This
page is my tribute to what I think is some great music....
Unless you're REALLY dead, you most likely know that the
Newlydeads
formed out of two bands that thrived in the age of stretch jeans and
AquaNet, Faster Pussycat and Bang Tango. Both bands made kickass music
but unfortuantly due to the demise of good music support from record
companies in the early 1990's, they split. As heartbroken as their fans
were, I hardly think anyone can complain about what has come of it now.
I'll admit it... I'm a sucker and got turned on to the Newlydeads because
of the fact I was a HUGE Faster Pussycat fan... (check this out for a frightening glimpse into my glam
music lust) but I was pretty damn
pleased when I sat down and listened to the album after going on a mad
search in the Chicago Loop during my lunch hour. I always hesitate to
call it "industrial" because to a lot of people that brings up the idea
of pure noise (which has it's musical merit also). This stuff still has
melody to it, and although it's not pop-rockish, it lends a different tone
of what the newer breed of "industrial" is like. Perhaps now we have
"industrial glam"??? Fetish rock? The musical orgasm???
DISCLAIMER
Most of the pictures and what not on this site are taken from the
offical Newlydeads site
and are the property of the Nervas System (or whatever Taime is calling
it
today). I make no claim that this is in any means or capacity an offical
site, I'll give full credit where full credit is due whenever I need to
'cause I know how annoying it is to see your work on other's pages. If
you don't like it... bite me. All questions or comments can be directed
at the brick wall, if you really need to talk to someone in the complaint
department, follow the sounds of the cracking whips and cries of pain and
perhaps the Mistress
will be nice enough to hear you out.
Here's how many people have paid their respects since October 1, 1997...
