Kik Tracee - one
of my absolute most favorite bands of all time. Just goes to prove
that even 2 CDs can make a big impression on a person. Although they
have broken up, they're still all workin' with music.
Bassist Rob
Grad has a band called Superfine
that has done some songs for the Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV soundtrack
(good stuff, too).
Former geetar play Mike Marquis was in a band called
The
Hal Lovejoy Circus. Picked up their CD from Amazon.com awhile back and I love it, very fun & pop-ish.
Former drummer Johnny Douglas is supposedly
working as a drum tech for ZZ Top (nice work if you can get it!).
Last I
heard. Former singer Stephen Shareaux recently was in a band called Revel
8. Looks like they went kaput thought... and once again, John Corabi continues to tempt Stephen's existance since it appears at least one of the Revel 8 guys is in a band with him.

Dangerous Toys.... those fun lovin' boys with balls as big as Texas....
they are still a band, at least last I heard... just without any immediate recording plans. I think they've been doing gigs in Texas but really haven't done any serious
touring for a couple of years. SIGH.
However, lack of a national presence
doesn't mean there isn't web stuff. You can check out the offical
band page, a site full of info and stuff to spend your former hairspray money on. There is also a side projest
with singer Jason and new DT geetarist Paul Lidel called Broken Teeth. Mike Hannon (also from Salty Dog) has done some band hopping, was in a group called Hilljack for awhile (good stuff) and is now in a group called American Dog (and it looks like he got a far more talented person to do his webpage than when I was doing the Hilljack one!).

Blackboard Jungle!! A very cool band from Los Angeles that I loved for
a long time that finally just decided to break up my heart and split...
SIGH... If you're really curious you can get pick up a lot of their stuff off ebay or at BlackboardJungle.net.
Pictures taken by the lovely Sadi Seven (a
way cool glam chick... at least I think... it's been a LONG ass time).
The did get together in June of 2003 & 2004 reunion shows, saw a live feed of the second one and it rocked!!!! Due to circumstances beyond my control (god damned unemployment of my own glammy boy and stupid family) I had to miss the once in a lifetime show the first time, but not the second. I know they did have some videos of it on Ebay for awhile. They have a DVD out of the show from 2003 with some other tidbits, I think.
Kenny (ex-singer) has a group called Jet 68. Love their stuff, way cool!
Check out their webpage and download the MP3s they offer, you'll be pleasantly
surprised.
Bassist Britt (the cutie) has a band called The Substitues. Just listened to the breif samples at their site, but still worthwhile.

Faster Pussycat - They've sort of regrouped. Brent & Eric were back in the band (I think) and Eric bailed, Greg was for a period of time in 2001 but he again departed, on good terms. Currently... the line up is Taime, Brent, Danny from The Thorbs & Motochrist, Chad from various bands around LA, and Xristian (who's worked with Taime on the Newlydeads for awhile). Saw them in Chicago on the Poison tour in 2002, and although they were the only band departing from the 80's rock image, it was awesome to see them live at a big concert venue. i've since seen them a million times in Chicago, the burbs, South Bend and LA. Every show was well worth the travel!
Taime's been doing the fetish-rock thang with his band
the Newlydeads, on and off. The Newlydeads
have found the time to appear on numerous tributes for Cleopatra
Records (most of their tunes are good, but you can't say the same about
a lot of the Cleo Rec's stuff).
The Newlydeads have released 3 albums,
most recent being Dead End. All highly recommeneded.
Eric Stacey has been bumping around in several bands, but nothing has stuck.
-
Tim Skold.... the former lead man for the band Shotgun Messiah, did a solo
album called SKOLD. Although his new stuff kicked complete and total ass
(industrial kinda stuff but still very melodic) his record company felt
the need to drop him. He did a stint with KMFDM, and has most recently joined up as bassist in Marilyn Manson.

Andre... from Reigndance. Yeah.... the long-haired dude from MTV's the
(not so for) Real World (the first one, the only one without any whinning
idiots in it). The band was awesome, they put out two albums on Interference
Records, but have called it splitsville since then. Keep an eye on Ebay,
every once in awhile a copy of the first, second or unreleased third album
will come up. (BTW.... Ebay bootlegs of the albums are recommended, since
they mostly come from the owners of the albums Reigndance released their
stuff on). If you missed the MTV Real World Reunion hoopla (as I
did, with MTVX I have no requirement for any other M-channel), Andre has
a band called MiLkWeeD in SoCali. He's still got the pipes, and their tunes are pretty impressive.

First they were Southgang, then Floyd's Funk Revivial, then The Floyds,
then THE MARVELOUS 3, now.... defunct!!!
Formet geetarist Butch, bassist Jayce and drummer Butch were wowing
people with a newer, updated sound with M3. I'm acctually a bigger
fan of their post-Southgang stuff. The second two of their three
albums are the strongest. Again, all parted on good terms to follow their own interests. Butch's first solo album came out July 9th 2002.

Love/Hate (which appartently seems to be a way of life and not just a band
name for them). Very very cool guys. There was some bad blood between some of the members
and they were trying to work it through, but Jiz moved on to greener pastures
and was one of the many many many many revolving-door singers in LA Guns,
but last I heard that also went bust... you can read the full story at the love/hate website...

Tuff... is apparently alive and kicking in some form. You can check out Stevie Rachelle's website. Looks like some lucky U.K. fans will be getting tour dates soon, but no word on any U.S. dates.
D'Molls.... I don't recall if they re-formed in the late 90's, but they did release a CD through now defunct Delinquient Records.
Wildside - If Metal Sludge is to be believed.... Brent Woods is playing guitar with Vince Neil, and Drew Hannah runs a porn company. I can acctually believe the Drew part.... last I saw of them (after their little known second album) he was getting in touch with the darker side of sexuality......
Wild Boys...... one of my favorite bands (I'll admit it) even though "K. Lee" was a womanizing (or rather... "teenage-girl-izing") ass.... check out a great 20 questions from the guitarist Matt on Metal Sludge....
Some fun websites I've run across in my searches......
Bulletboys
Faster Pussycat Site with some kick ass pictures
What happened to Slik Toxik other than a terminal case of bad spelling?
An old Saigon Kick Interview. (BTW... If you were a fan and haven't scored the "Moments from the Fringe" disk... do so. Very cool).
A shortgun Messiah Tribute page.
Sunset Strip Magazine... some awesome flyers from back in "the day".
Back to da front.....
